We’re excited to share some big news—Hail No is now an Allied Member of the Colorado Auto Dealers Association (CADA)!
For over 100 years, CADA has been the voice of Colorado’s auto industry, representing new car and truck dealers across the state. Through advocacy, education, and industry resources, CADA helps dealerships thrive and adapt in an ever-changing automotive landscape. Its network includes not just dealerships, but also allied businesses that provide innovative products and services designed to support dealers’ success.
Hail No was born in Colorado, by Colorado auto dealers. Our entire mission grew out of firsthand experience with the costly impact of hail on vehicle lots. Colorado’s frequent and destructive hailstorms inspired us to develop patent-pending hail netting systems designed specifically to protect dealer inventory.
Hail No’s first client was a Colorado-based dealership, the Schomp Automotive Group. In 2018, they faced significant financial impacts due to escalating hail damage. Within a single month, their Aurora dealerships experienced three hailstorms, leading to nearly $200,000 in vehicle damage. “That month we purchased three new stores in Aurora, and within a 10-day period they were hit with hail three times,” says Aaron Wallace, Dealer Principal at Schomp Automotive. “We had cars that were damaged, repaired, put back onto the front line and then damaged again – it was a significant disruption to our business.”
To combat these challenges, Schomp implemented the HAIL NO® protection system, featuring translucent, high-strength anti-hail netting mounted to steel columns to shield vehicles from hail. The system costs about $1,400 to $1,750 per vehicle stall — or about $8.25 to $10.30 per square foot. This innovative solution not only protected their inventory but also resulted in a 50% reduction in insurance premiums for covered vehicles, effectively paying for itself within approximately two years.
At Hail No, our mission is to help auto dealers protect their inventory from increasingly destructive hail events. We design and install patent-pending hail netting systems that provide year-round protection for lots of all sizes—saving dealerships significant costs and downtime when storms strike.
