Hail netting isn’t just a barrier—it’s an advanced weather protection system engineered to withstand severe hailstorms, strong winds, and prolonged outdoor exposure. At Hail No, our hail netting solutions use high-strength, weather-resistant materials to deliver long-lasting protection for car dealerships, parking lots, warehouses, industrial plants and other businesses that need protection from increasingly extreme weather events.

This guide breaks down the engineering, material composition, and durability testing behind our customizable, lightweight, and highly weather-resistant hail netting solutions.

Customizable Hail Netting: Designed for Your Business

Every business has unique hail protection requirements, which is why our hail netting systems are custom-built to meet your specific business needs.

Size & Coverage – Custom-fit for parking lots, industrial yards, warehouses, and auto dealerships.
Mounting & Installation – Available in permanent, semi-permanent, and retractable designs.
Color & Aesthetics – Dyed black for UV resistance and to blend with commercial properties.
Scalability – Modular netting system allows for future expansions without costly redesigns.

Lightweight Yet Heavy-Duty Protection

One of the key advantages of Hail No’s hail netting is its high-strength yet lightweight design, allowing for efficient installation and long-term performance.

🔹 Material Composition:

  • 85% 1000 Denier Dacron Polyester
  • 15% 150 Denier Dacron Polyester
  • 12-gauge Raschel Fabric Honeycomb Netting
  • Mesh Opening: 1/4” x 3/8”

🔹 Key Performance Features:

  • Break Strength: 180 lbs warp / 82 lbs fill – ensuring impact absorption from even large hailstones.
  • Weight: Only 0.023 lbs per square foot, making it lightweight yet highly durable.
  • Single Selvedge Design: Provides added reinforcement along the edges.

Hail No systems are designed to withstand a severe hail load of 2.0” average depth, and also snow loads of 30” per square foot and winds up to 120 mph. Hail No netting can also be engineered for greater wind and snow loads, if needed.

Unlike metal canopies or solid-roof structures, our lightweight netting doesn’t require heavy support beams or extensive installation work, reducing overall material costs and labor time.

Weather-Resistant Materials for Long-Term Protection

Hail netting must endure extreme weather conditions year-round. Our netting materials are selected for maximum durability and resistance to environmental wear.

Key Weather-Resistant Features:

Fire Retardant Coating: Meets NFPA 701 flammability standards, ensuring fire resistance in extreme conditions.
UV-Stabilized Finish: Prevents sun damage, color fading, and material degradation.
Water-Resistant Treatment: Designed to repel moisture and prevent mold growth.
Corrosion-Free Components: Support structures use galvanized or stainless steel, eliminating rust concerns.

🔬 Laboratory Tested for Extreme Conditions:
Our netting was tested under National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) No. 701 standards and passed with zero residual flame and an average weight loss of only 23.07%—well below the 40% maximum allowance for fire safety compliance.

Engineered for Maximum Impact Absorption

Hailstones can reach speeds of up to 100 mph, making impact absorption a critical feature of any hail protection system. Our hail netting is designed to:

Dissipate Energy – The woven honeycomb structure disperses hail impact, preventing penetration.
Minimize Rebound Damage – Unlike rigid structures, netting absorbs and flexes to prevent secondary vehicle damage.
Self-Tensioning Design – Slight flexing under extreme weather conditions prevents tears and structural failure.

The result? Maximum hail protection without the need for costly reinforcements or frequent repairs.

Longevity & Maintenance: Built to Last

Hail No’s hail netting systems are engineered to last 15-20 years with minimal maintenance.

🔹 Limited Warranty: Our S800 Knotless Netting is backed by a 5-year warranty, covering defects in material, UV exposure damage, and workmanship failures under normal use.
🔹 Minimal Upkeep: Requires occasional inspections and tension adjustments for optimal performance.
🔹 Fast Repairs: Modular design allows damaged sections to be replaced individually, reducing downtime and minimizing repair costs compared to more rigid structures.

With hail insurance savings of up to 40%, most businesses recover their hail netting investment in under two years.

The Future of Hail Protection Is Here

Hail No’s customizable, lightweight, and weather-resistant hail netting is designed for maximum durability and efficiency. Whether protecting vehicles, industrial equipment, or large-scale warehouses, our solutions offer unmatched protection with minimal upkeep.
